Mark Murphy invites Cuerda to the Land of Giants
Part of the Cuerda Team Joseph Traynor and Simone Jenkinson have been invited by Mark Murphy to work on his next massive event in Belfast, Northern ireland; Land Of Giants produced by Walk The Plank
Opening Ceremony- Turku European Capital of Culture 2011
Our roll in the event was to choreograph and perform the aerial content of the show.
Despite temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius, Saturday’s grand evening opening at the former Wärtsilä shipyard drew a crowd of 50,000 people.The opening ceremony was the biggest single event of Turku’s cultural year—as well as being one of the biggest performances ever staged in Finland.
Turku – European City of Culture 2011
Joseph and Simone are excited about working with the prestigious large scale events company Walk the Plank again on the opening weekend of Turku’s year as the European Culture Capital 2011.
We worked with the company in 2009 on the Home Coming in the Edinburgh castle and are looking forward to getting our teeth back into the job in hand working alongside the director Mark Murphy once again.
